These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Merea mobile application and website (the "Service") operated by Merea ("we," "our," or "us"). By using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms.
Merea is an AI-powered Bible study companion. The Service is intended for personal, non-commercial use. You must be at least 13 years old to use the Service. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials.
The Service uses artificial intelligence (Google Gemini) to generate Bible study plans, prayer guidance, verse recommendations, and conversational responses. While we strive for accuracy and faithfulness to scripture, AI-generated content should not be considered a substitute for professional pastoral counsel, theological scholarship, or direct Bible study. We encourage you to verify all scripture references and interpretations independently.
You retain ownership of all content you create within the Service, including journal entries, notes, prayer requests, and conversation messages. By using the Service, you grant us a limited license to store and process your content solely to provide the Service to you.
Merea offers both free and premium subscription tiers:
Premium subscriptions are billed monthly through Apple's App Store. Payment is charged to your Apple ID account at confirmation of purchase. Your subscription automatically renews unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period. You can manage or cancel your subscription in your device's Settings → Subscriptions.
Subscription payments are processed by Apple and are subject to Apple's refund policies. To request a refund, contact Apple Support directly through the App Store.

The Merea name, logo, design, and all associated content (excluding user content and scripture text) are owned by us. You may not use our branding without prior written consent.
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that AI-generated content will be completely accurate. We are not responsible for any decisions made based on AI-generated content.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service.
You may delete your account at any time from within the app (Profile → Delete Account). This will permanently remove all your data. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes through the app or by email. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States. Any disputes shall be resolved through binding arbitration.
